Biography
Emre Başaraner graduated from ITU Maritime Faculty in 2002 and embarked on a distinguished maritime career spanning over 15 years, including 9 years as a Master Mariner. His passion for the sea and leadership in maritime operations have shaped his extensive experience, which includes navigating oil and chemical tankers, managing complex maritime operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance across various international frameworks.

Emre believes the most significant challenge facing the maritime industry today is finding qualified talent to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving sector. He is a strong advocate for continuous training and education, stressing the importance of keeping up with technological advancements and industry standards.
Outside of his professional life, Emre is a certified diver, an avid tango dancer, and a father of two. He takes pride in being a Galatasaray supporter and enjoys spending time with his family whenever he is not managing maritime operations or mentoring the next generation of mariners.
